How To Coach Yourself by Francis Bills

1)    Ask yourself good questions (write the questions and the answers down on a piece of paper or in a journal)

2)  Answer the questions openly and honestly

3)  Ask yourself, “What else?”

For example, say you would like to increase your income. You could ask yourself, “What are 3 ways in which I can increase my income?”

After coming up with 3 ideas, ask yourself, “What else?” You keep asking it until you have a minimum of 10 answers. Include every idea, even the ones that seem preposterous.

4)  Choose one or two of the best answers from your list of ideas and implement them immediately. Don’t wait until everything is perfect. Start right where you are with what you have.

You’ll find that you have more knowledge and ability than you originally thought and you will always be provided with the answers AS you take action.

Don’t force or rush an idea. You’ll know if you’re forcing or rushing by how you feel. Make sure that the idea feels right to you.

Trust this process. It works.

Let me provide an example. Let’s say you own a restaurant and you want to increase your income.

Therefore, you come up with the idea to add a new item to your menu in which your customers will enjoy and won’t mind paying a premium price for.

Or you decide to replace a low selling item with a new item that has a higher profit margin. An item that you also know your customers will enjoy and gladly pay for.

You implement this new item onto your menu or replace the existing one and then measure your results, the increase in income.

Then you ask yourself, “What else can I do to increase my income?”

Reducing your spending also counts as increasing your income. You could also ask yourself, “What are some unnecessary expenses that I could reduce and/or eliminate?” or “How can I reduce my spending?”

Then ask, “What else?”

Remember, once you come up with the answers, the key is in implementing them. To go from thinking to doing.

To your continual growth and success,
