Practical Ideas to Maximize Results

Taking efficient action each day is key to achieving our goals and maximizing our results.

The following is a list of practical methods and ideas to help you reach your goals and to achieve your goals quicker.

Please don’t dismiss these ideas due to their simplicity and please be sure to take action on any of the ideas that you deem to be of the greatest benefit.

·       Reduce or eliminate inefficient activities and distractions, even if it’s checking out PremierConsulting.biz

My job is to ensure that you’re doing everything you can toward staying focused and reaching your goals.

This means that if you find anything to be a distraction or an impediment to reaching your goals, eliminate it or severely reduce it.

·       Postpone daily distractions and destructive habits

An effective method that smokers use to help them quit smoking is to delay their first cigarette in the morning.

The idea is that as they go about their day, they’ll forget about smoking and there will be a greater chance of reducing the amount of cigarettes they smoke throughout the day, eventually leading to quitting the habit altogether.

You can use this same method for delaying common distractions in the morning, like checking e-mails, scrolling through social media or watching the bewilderment box.

You can then substitute this time and use it more efficiently by going over your plans for the day in which you wrote out the night before, utilize this time to read about something inspiring, read or listen to something related to you field or industry, or to just take some time for quiet introspection and express gratitude for what you have.

Soon this will become a habit pattern and your productivity will increase dramatically.

·       Maximize your time at every chance you get

For example, you can listen to podcasts or audiobooks on your phone while at the gym and while in your car, while on the bus, while you’re on break, during “down time” at work, or any time that you’re not engaged in an activity which requires your full attention.

You can keep a journal, notebook, pad of paper or use your phone to write down any ideas that you hear, read, watch or think about during the day and expound upon them when you get home.

Another practical idea to maximize your time is to keep a book with you at all times.

Even if it’s something that you’ve already read, you can read it again and it may stimulate an idea that you didn’t think about upon the first reading.

Highlighting, underlining and writing notes in the margins is a great way to absorb what you read, so keep a pen and a highlighter available.

·       Engage in high-value, important tasks and limit engaging in low-value unimportant ones (both at work and at home)

·       Delegate low-value unimportant tasks to co-workers or family members who enjoy taking on the responsibility and are good at doing them

·       Again, plan your day the night prior on paper, making sure to pre-plan for the times that you know you’ll have demands placed on you

·       Be willing to say no to anything that takes you away from your major purpose or ideal or which isn’t in line with your values and beliefs

·       Keep thinking about ideas and creative ways in which you can do things more efficiently to maximize your time

·       For example, you can utilize what’s referred to as “built-ins”; engaging in constructive activities while you’re waiting or doing something else (i.e. doing push-ups or sit-ups while watching the bewilderment box)

·       Use your imagination to create your own “built-ins”

This is just a brief list of practical ways to maximize your time, and you may have already heard about some of them or maybe all of them.

But remember, the value of these methods is in their application, their use.

Take action on the ideas and implement them into your life and I assure you that you will reach your goals quicker and with less effort.

Thank you,

Francis Bills
