Our ability to focus and concentrate on one thing at a time is key to achieving our goals.
Each night, write out the most important thing that you want to accomplish the following day.
Choose a specific area that you would like to focus on.
For example, if it’s a health or fitness goal, the task you might write down could be:
-walk for 30 minutes or
-get to the gym or
-do 30 sit-ups when I wake up and before I go to bed
A business goal might be:
-call three people who were satisfied with my product or services and ask them if they know of anyone who may be interested in what you’re offering; in other words, ask for referrals
-contact people or businesses with whom you believe could benefit from your product or service
-create engaging content on your website or blog to stimulate creative thinking and ideas
A personal development goal might be:
-read about the latest trends in your business or industry for at least 30 minutes and discuss what you’ve learned with others in the same or similar field
-sign up for a class, a course or a webinar to learn more about a topic in which you would like to improve upon
-ask to work with a mentor, coach, friend or someone who is doing what you are interested in
An educational goal might be:
-study an additional hour on the subject that you would like to improve upon
-ask to work with a tutor, friend, parent or someone who can assist you with the subject that you need improvement on
-read a book on studying techniques, memorization methods or test-taking methods
These are just a few basic ideas to get you started.
There are an innumerable amount of ideas that you can create if you take the time to think about them and write them down.
Be sure to implement the ideas that you write down.
Remember, you’ll only receive the benefits of what you read, learn or study by putting the ideas into practice, by using them consistently every day.
Please don’t disregard the simplicity of this practical exercise.
It’s the simple things, done repetitively over time that get you the greatest results.
Persistence, discipline and efficient action every day will always work in reaching any goal.
To your continual growth and success,
Francis Bills
