What's Your Method of Living? by Francis Bills

Many of us get frustrated, upset and discouraged because we feel that we are not living the life that we truly want. That we are not living to our full potential.

I'm going to list a few of the methods in which many of us live our lives:

  1. The wishful thinking method or "let's see what happens" method

  2. The follow the follower method or "let's see what others are doing" method

  3. The tragedy or adversity method or "I'll wait until I am forced to do something by necessity"

  4. The looking back/regret method or "I tried that, it didn't work, so now I don't try anymore". This could also be named the discouragement method of living

  5. The procrastination method or "I'm going to do it once everything is perfect"

  6. The wait to be told method or "Someone outside of myself will tell me what to do"

Q. So what is the best way for us to discover what we truly want out of life? What's the best method?

A. It's what I like to call the introspection method or "I'm going to look within myself, discover what I value and am passionate about, and decide to live life on purpose and create the life that I truly desire"

Taking time each day to consciously focus on what we want allows us to set goals. These goals, in turn, provide a target or a destination so that we can then focus on living our lives in alignment with our thoughts, feelings, values and beliefs.
